Re: Blooper?
Sun, July 24, 2005 - 7:50 AMYou mean when Slughorn refers to Ron as Rupert? I caught it (I swear I didn't just look it up), but I don't think that it means what most people probably think. JKR has said that she never sees the movie actors when she's writing the characters. But, since Slughorn doesn't think Ron is "important" enough to remember his name, Rupert is what he's called. I do think that's just JKR having a bit of fun with us. -

Re: Blooper?
Mon, July 25, 2005 - 7:03 AMI saw that, but figured it was just Slughorn being his being his obnoxious self and not remembering Ron's correct name, never even dawned on me that "Rupert" was the actor playing Ron's first name. -

Re: Blooper?
Thu, August 4, 2005 - 10:37 PMThe name blooper didn't catch my attention (I just wrote it off as Ron's name not being that important, didn't pay attention that the actors' name was used), but there were a couple of others things I noticed...
Can't remember the page (sorry) but at one point the word "fug" was printed when I swear the only possible/logical word should have been "fog".... totally jumped off the page at me!
Also, during one of the last memories Dumbledore shows Harry, they are supposed to be in the memory of the house elf, but yet they see what happened between Tom & the really old witch (hmmm.. bad with names) even when the house elf has left the room- doesn't this contradict with the concept of these memories???
Just being picky of course- loved the book & can't wait for the next! -
